Hi all,
I just had some opportunity to play with the fibrechannel array we recently got.
It's done with two qlogic 2300 hbas in multipath setup. I tested with 14 15krpm
36gb disks.
linux md, 7 mirrors, stripe across them, 64k chunk size, reiserfs
bonnie++ -d /test -s 4096:8k -n 1024:65536:0:10000 used in all tests

If anyone finds these numbers useful ...
Btw, Veritas vm gui (VEA) offers support for ext2/3. Is it possible that someday
we'll see support for reiserfs inthere as well?

what happens if you turnoff tails?

Do I misunderstand, or do you have the underlying devices configured
differently for the two filesystems?
Can you define more precisely what is stripped pro, and how it differs
from what you configured reiserfs to use?
The numbers you got for reiserfs with and without tails don't seem like
what I would expect the difference between them to be. Do you have a
URL for bonnie++?
