I had a system crash on my main server and now that it's up, I'm
constantly seeing this error in /var/log/messages and on the console

"kernel: nfsd: request from insecure port (ac1e02bc:47720)!"

I have no idea if this was happening before on this server as it's been
completly rock solid and has been running as an extreamly high volume
NAS for serveral servers for that last six months and I haven't needed
to go into the server. I'm running kernel 2.4.19 with all the NFS
patches as of six months ago. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
  Thanks in advance.

	Chris Dos

So who is 172.30.2.188 and why did it decide to use a non-privileged
port upon reconnecting?

Is that box a MacOS X box by any chance? Is it mounting from your server
using TCP? That would be a known bug in the Darwin kernel...

I just ran a new build for one of my PowerPC targets and I'm getting errors like these:

ERROR: openssh-7.3p1-r0 do_package: runstrip: ''powerpc-amltd-linux-gnuspe-strip' --remove-section=.comment

Actually, I got 438 of them :-(

Build Configuration:
BB_VERSION        = "1.32.0"
BUILD_SYS         = "x86_64-linux"
NATIVELSBSTRING   = "universal"
TARGET_SYS        = "powerpc-amltd-linux-gnuspe"
MACHINE           = "p1022ds"
DISTRO            = "amltd"
DISTRO_VERSION    = "2.2+snapshot-20161115"
TUNE_FEATURES     = "m32 spe ppce500v2"
TARGET_FPU        = "ppc-efd"
meta              = "master:43e652f3d1fee5ce7fad67e6400315eab1b34270"
meta-amltd        = "master:697b2bc1467a311233f1da362aa4c8a2cccf52bf"
meta-diskstation  = "master:0839596be89af4da67fb7c5ab41337f1a382e5b5"
meta-freescale    = "master:979d079732949c49f7a859e93278287eb95fa056"

Questions:
* What's the best way to fix them? I assume it's just some
   compiler/binutils option I need to adjust. I tried comparing
   this build against the stock qemuppc, but it got no such errors
   and I don't see the difference (except for the CPU tuning of
   e500v2 vs 7400).
* If these are labeled 'ERROR', why do the packages continue
   to be built? Indeed, I ended up with a complete build image
   (which I've not been able to test yet so I don't know if these
   errors actually break things)

Thanks for any pointers

Can you test out this patch for OE-Core

I recently updated my Poky/Yocto repo to 12a0ee049e453b6d0d2ce2f3fa981d1b6e02bd78 and now I'm seeing
messages like this:
   ERROR: When reparsing /local/poky-cutting-edge/meta/recipes-core/base-files/base-files_3.0.14.bb.do_install, the
   basehash value changed from 3c2401cc61fce5eb899de19dbf78862f to 558516a74162944aff656a7d01321b12. The metadata is
   not deterministic and this needs to be fixed.

Any ideas what this means and what could cause it?

Thanks

Did you try to erase your build/tmp folder?

Michel

No, I did nothing - this error happened (actually many of them)
during the course of a long build.
