Hi!
I'm having severe hardlocks with 2.5.69-mm3 when mounting an NFS volume
from one of my NFS servers. I think this is related to iptables, but
while investigating, I found the following messages on my dmesg ring:
spurious 8259A interrupt: IRQ7.
eth0: Setting full-duplex based on MII #0 link partner capability of
01e1.
eth0: Transmit error, Tx status register 90.

I have no idea what does this mean...

Check out REPORTING-BUGS file in the kernel source code. It describes
the information we find useful in bug reports. In particularly, you did
not give us any information on your network hardware (network card, and
what it is connected to) or what drivers you have loaded.

Well, that wasn't a bug report in itself... I was simply asking what
does the message mean?
Anyways, the machine is a NEC Chrom@ laptop (Pentium III Coppermine +
440BX chipset), 256MB RAM, ATI RAGE Mobility M1 AGP, an the network card
is a 3CCFE575CT Cyclone CardBus. The machine is running Red Hat Linux 9,
is connected to an 8-port 100Mbps switch, and is talking to another
machine which I use mainly as my NFS server, running on Red Hat Linux 9,
2.5.69-bk6 and using a 3Com Etherlink III XL Pro (3c59x) NIC.
Attached are "lspci", "dmesg" and "config" used to build the kernel.
