devfs oops on module missing

Hi,

With 2.6.0-test3 and 2.6.0-test2, devfs mounting at boot time, 
devfsd 1.3.25 installed, no floppy drive, so floppy,ko would 
reject to load.  On boot time got this:

modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting floppy 
(/lib/modules/2.6.0-test3/kernel/drivers/block/floppy.ko): No such device

Removing the floppy.ko, well, solved this problem.

hmm, isn't it time we deprecated devfs?

Well, it is long overdue, but what's the relation to this oops?
Even if we deprecate devfs now we'll have to keep it around for
two stable series or so until all users switch away.

But fortunately I think this bug is already fixed in current BK.
