Actually, Blackdown offers gcc2.95 and gcc3.2 builds. Either is fine for
your "Linux 8" (redhat), the gcc3.2 build won't work for an 'out of the
box'
Redhat 7.2 install.
Sun's VM will work just fine on either as stated by Murali above. .
