Hi,

Are their any linux tools to allow the user to view irq routing details,
and maybe change the routing after boot ?

This might be useful in special cases.

Cheers
James

Hi Folks,
It looks as if Documentation/IRQ-redir is out of date, since
IA64's /proc/irq was moved to generic code.

How now does one control whether interrupts are fixed route, or use
lowest-priority routing?

I have a Sony VAIO FX405 with a little bit strange IRQ routing:
ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKA] (IRQs 3 4 5 7 *9 10 11 12)
ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKB] (IRQs 3 4 5 7 9 *10 11 12)
ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKC] (IRQs 3 4 *5 7 9 10 11 12)
ACPI: PCI Interrupt Link [LNKD] (IRQs 3 4 5 7 *9 10 11 12)
Why is IRQ 11 never used? IRQ 3 should also be free (only COM1 available).

You can find full boot log at http://markus.gaugusch.at/dmesg.txt
(also for my last posting, processor&thermal zone broken)

thanks!
Markus
