Just wanted to check on the status of AMD Opteron support on
Linux and also Hyperthreading, will all this be avaialable
on the 2.6 kernel series, and will there be some available
on the 2.4 kernel series too.

If your question is does the linux support hyperthreading on the
Opteron. Then the answers is the Opteron doesn't support hyperthreading.
Otherwise the answer is yes, but the degree that things work varys.
