Hi,

I am having a message in dmesg which recommand to send you an email.
Here it is. You will find below the corresponding part of the output. I use
a kernel 2.4.20-20.9smp. The underlying processor is an
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz. I guess it is multi-threaded and this
is why I obtain such a SMP kernel when I install RH9. Unhapilly, I
am a newby for what concerns system and kernel, and I am afraid
I cannot help a lot more. I even ignore completely what is an APIC...

David.

The ouput:

Oct 27 11:16:42 corbieres kernel: ENABLING IO-APIC IRQs
Oct 27 11:16:42 corbieres kernel: Setting 2 in the phys_id_present_map
Oct 27 11:16:42 corbieres kernel: ...changing IO-APIC physical APIC ID
to 2 ... ok.
