   Hans, how do you retain any scrap of sanity? This whole thing is 
getting so far outta sight it is crazy. What is wrong with them simply 
accrediting you and the Reiser Team??????? I believe I have seen you say 
that Credits at install time would be fine right? @ the rest of you: 
What is wrong with that?? seems pretty unreasonable of all of you to say 
no to this. Now I will go on record as saying I definately do not want 
to see a list of credits every time i boot my system. That would be 
totaly unreasonable. In my opinion you all really need to drop the silly 
and counter productive argument. Act like adults, make an agreement then 
shake hands and be friends again. Sheesh, SOME of us would like to see 
Reiser4 out in the public as a full release!!

Just to (hopefully) clarify this situation a little... here is the 
problem in a nutshell.

Debians position is: We have no problem with attribution, but if we are 
forced to attribute in a specific manner that is not, and will not be 
acceptable.

Han's position is: That's cool, problem is that not everyone is so 
noble, and my license is trying to ensure that those who would not be 
so noble are forced to fairly attribute.

Debians counter position: Hmm. There is a problem then, we cannot 
accept a discriminatory license, so it cannot be fixed "only for us", 
and we cannot accept a license the restricts the modification of the 
code.

(I know someone will correct me if I have misstated those positions)

What pray tell do you think they are doing, they are trying to find a 
middle ground that they can both agree on. Well mostly, there is also 
some flameage going on, but most of it was trying to describe where the 
middle ground might lie. So far, they have not been able to really 
agree on where that middle ground is.

As do we all... But that doesn't mean that all other issues become 
trivial and non-sensical.

i have absolutely no problem the way reiser4 works now, hell, i havent
noticed a change. but now where you announce a "monster" big problem, i
tried follow the boot of a machine running reiser4, and i see fsck tell
"see credits for more info", or something like that, whats wrong with
that? hell! remove the message from reiser4progs then! i believe they
are GPL.
