[Qemu-devel] KDE Front-End for QEMU

Hi all,

I'm 95% done a KDE front-end for QEMU written using Kommander. Probably have 
it done and tested by the end of the week.

I'll be GPLing it and releasing it via sourceforge. Just thought I'd get some 
feedback on features while I am at it..

Currently it just "wraps" all the options available from the command line and 
has the ability to save a shell script that runs qemu with the options 
selected.

I plan on adding vmware/virtualpc style wizard to create disk images.. are 
there any other suggestions I should work in?

That's great!  Does it require a specific version of KDE?  A lot of people 
I know are still on 3.1.x (in fact some of my machines, including this 
one, are on 3.1.x).

why not QT front-end? Do you really need kdelibs?

Hmm.. that's a good point. Come to think of it, I think that Kommander only 
uses QT, but I'll have to confirm that.

The widgets were based on QT, but that has changed with the upcomming release.

Did a bit of checking.. Kommander definately seems to use KDELIbs..

So: I could write the front-end from scratch rather than using a tool such as 
Kommander, but is there any specific reason to do so? Kommander allows for 
really rapid development of GUI wrappers for command-line utilities..
