Hi , I have had some trouble with my harddrive... when I try boot it i
just get a init# prompt, when I mount it I cannot view certain
directories like /proc , /sbin , /home etc .. I can't erase them
either. I need to if possible recover the contents of /home and other
directories.
Here is the log of what happens when I run reiserfsck on the drive :

This is an extremely old reiserfsck version. Use a newer one.

You shouldn't need to.
Have you set the fb_info[.*|.var.*|.fix.*] fields to reflect your hardware?
Try running 'fbset -i > stats.txt' blind from the console and affirm
that the settings are currect.

No, you don't need to add fonts, but make sure you've choosen at least
one of them:)

I've seen that, too, when I wrote a FB driver. My bug was that I was
missing
#ifdef CONFIG_VT
#ifdef CONFIG_DUMMY_CONSOLE
/*
* We need a dummy console up at cons_init time, otherwise there'll
* be no VTs allocated for the real fbdev console to later take over.
*/
conswitchp = &dummy_con;
#endif
#endif
in arch-dependand code (for me, adding it to ./arch/vax/kernel/setup.c
did the job).

HI,
Can u help me ???
---------------------------------------------------------------------
INTRO :
----------------------------------------------------------------------
i need to maintain counters for number of packets
1. drop
2. accepted.
by Netfilter and the protocol distribution among them.
i put two counters in nf_hook_slow(...) function inB
net/core/netfilter.c
switch(verdict){
case NF_ACCEPT:
pkt_accept_count++;
case NF_DROP :
pkt_drop_count++;
}
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
OBSERVATION :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
when default policy is ACCEPT and i write rules to drop
selective packets i am getting the appropiate values of counters.
but when the default policy is DROP and no other rule for
ACCEPT then both the counters (pkt_accept_count and pkt_drop_count ) are
incrementing !!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
QUERY :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. As i am not accepting a single packet the why
pkt_accept_count counter is incrementing !!!
2. Is there any other better way to do the job ?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Regards
Biswajit

Currently, i am implementing isakmp/ike nat helper. As isakmp always uses source
port 500, destination port 500. After the first connection is established, the
second connection's source port will be changed to another port. How can i make
nelfilter not to change the source port? Currently my idea is to demultiplex the
connection through isakmp icookie/rcookie. How to achieve this? Thanks. Your
help will be appreciated.

Here is the question
1, If I have my own CODEC plugin (optimizied version),
how could I install it within ALSA?
2. Where is the sound effect processing in ALSA?
Last time, Lee answered my question, but
unfortunately, I lost his email address.
Anybody answered my question, appreciated!
