Hi,

I have strong desire to work and contribute to Linux
kernel. Could anyone please help me by guiding me and
providing work items to do? I have expert knowledge in
C-Language and I am Unix system programmer. I have
also worked on Linux.

I would like to contribute to Linux during week-ends
and night times.

Please let me know.

Thanks,

Latha

hi Latha,
fullfill your deepest desire: network programming, driver hacking etc.
the linux kernel has special maintainer for each (see: MAINTAINERS).

*Here* your are in the *janitors group*. we do the cleanup work that
programmers tend to forget. like:
checking return codes propperly, fixing warning and documentation,...
i think this is good stuff for entring the kernel world.

beside this there are special interest groups like the
linux-test-project and special hardware projects.

feel free to join us,
walter

From Dave Jones:

One of my interests is static code analysis. As the Linux kernel
continues to grow at an exponential rate, I believe we need more (and
better) tools to catch bugs before they become a problem. It seems I'm
not alone in this thinking. I stumbled across a whole slew of debugging
tools on Microsoft's developer site, by the names of PREfast, SDV and
	Driver Verifier.
