Hi,

I have been in the process of trying to write a new PCI driver. The
hardware is Memory Mapped IO device similar to the Fusion 878, but not
that complicated, but simpler

Now that i have been trying to implement the driver using the new PCI
API, i feel a bit lost at the different changes gone into the PCI API.
So if someone could give me a brief idea how a minimal PCI probe routine
should consist of, that would be quite helpful.

Thanks,
Manu

Hello,

We have implemented a driver for a PCI sound card and are attempting to
use it on a PPC400 Yosemite board. However, as soon as any port I/O is
attempted, we get a machine check error:

dream/mem/mpu 9 0 1 "w" 10
MIDI message chip 9 mpu_port 0 offset 1 direction 1 16bit 0 data 0x10
outb 0x331

Are we doing something wrong? We use pci_resource_start(pci,0) to get
the BAR which returns 0xFFF0. This also matches what is
in /proc/ioports, but outb/outw/outl all cause the machine check crash.

Hello,

I am looking for PCI linux driver development source code for TI TMS320c6412. I am looking for both firmware which resides on TMS320c6412 as well as PC side Linux driver for TMS320c6412.

Any help/pointers?

Thanks,
-Mankan
