Roy Ratcliffe recently started a project called Xeno-- that will provide
user-space C++ wrappers around, as a start, the native skin of Xenomai.
The project is currently at the planning stage.
After hearing of this project from Gilles Chanteperdrix's recent post, I
started an email discussion with Roy about some design issues. In order to
get more input for other Xenomai users, Roy created a new mailing list
called xenomm-feedback on which I will soon start a number of threads on
these issues. We would greatly appreciate your participation. To give some
time for those interested to subscribe to the mailing list, I will wait
until monday to start the threads. Here are some of the topics I want to
discuss:
1. How should the library be named? (xeno--, xeno++ or xenomai++)
2. Are C++ wrappers for skins other than the native one a reasonable
future extension?
3. Should Xeno-- be implemented as a wrapper layer or as a first class skin?
4. Should exceptions be used instead of return values?
I hope you'll join the discussion! Here are some related links:

P.S. Xenomm is not indexed properly by Google yet. Is there any chance it
could get a link on the xenomai website?

I do have some ideas on this - but I save it for the new xeno-- list. ;)

I would vote for this as well. Bruno, could you add this project to the
new link page?
