I am trying to start xend on a new machine. (xen 3.0.0 on 2.6.12.6) and I get this error message in xend-debug.log.
I ran the same xend trees on another machine and it works fine. The other machine does not even have xcs.

I am pretty new to xen, so any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks
- Padma

You've got a 2.0.x install. xcs only exists in the 2.0.x series.

Installing 3.0.0 does not automatically remove a previous 2.0.x
install. You have to get rid of the appropriate
/usr/lib/python2.x/site-packages/xen directory.

Thanks you very much for the solution. Of course that works now but other problems have come up , I beleive all related to the 2.0 install.
("need more than 1 value to unpack" while doign "xm create")

Is there a clean way one can get rid of all 2.0 stuff. I did do a "make uninstall" from the 3.0.0 trees before installing 3.0.0
Thanks
