Hi,
Current Testing tree: serial ports seem not to work with full
virtualization.
/etc/xen/xmexample.hvm suggests to use "serial='pty'". That seems to
work partly, at least the pty allocated shows up in xenstore and it is
possible to use "xm console ..." to connect. But I don't see any serial
console output from the linux kernel (boot with console=ttyS0, fire up a
getty).
Any idea what is going wrong?
cheers,
Gerd

Gerd-
I might have done this, which patchset are you using? I introduced support for the Summagraphics tablet under VNC in patchset 9259 and it used port 0. With patchset 9967 I woke up and moved the tablet to port 1, freeing /dev/ttyS0 up for the console again. If you're using a patchset between those two that's probably your problem.

It's 9674 (Testing tree, somewhen last week), so I guess this explains
the problem ;)
Thanks,
Gerd
