Hi,

Wanted to know if anyone is working on a driver for the SMSC DME1737
sensor chip..?.

A bunch of new Opetron motherboards that i work with use this chip. I
wanted to take a crack at writing a module for it if no one has already
started work on it.

Any suggestions/info are always welcome.

Thanx
sam!!

Hi all,

I just noted that Emmanuel A8000 chip might be compatible with dme1737

http://lists.lm-sensors.org/pipermail/lm-sensors/2006-January/015011.html

30: 39 ff ff 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 5c 89 9.............\?

The chip has ID 5c 89 and the DME1737 has 5c 88.
So they differ just in stepping.

Regards
Rudolf

How to get the DME1737 activated in a 2.6.17 ?

I didn't find the driver for it.... :-/

That is correct, no driver for it yet.

Please wait for Alex to respond with his status report ;)
