[-- Attachment #1.1: Type: text/plain, Size: 3276 bytes --]

I have a Nokia N70 mobile phone and a MSI 3X BTOES (Ver. 476-BW). Both
claim to be Bluetooth 2.0+EDR devices. As I read, those device have an
improved device inquiry time of about 4 seconds.

However when I do a

	hcitool scan

or a

	hcitool inq

both take the usual 10 to 12 seconds as of Bluetooth 1.1. What is the
reason for this behaviour and how can I change it?

Below I added some information about the devices.

Thanks, Simon

there exists nothing like this. You can decrease the time a device
spends in inquiry, but then you might also only find a small fraction of
devices. Check the hcitool manual page for options to change the inquiry
time.

Regards

Marcel
