* [Cluster-devel] [PATCH] RFC: Use workqueues for dlm lowcomms @ 2007-01-03 10:53 Patrick Caulfield 2007-01-15 14:33 ` Patrick Caulfield 0 siblings, 1 reply; 3+ messages in thread From: Patrick Caulfield @ 2007-01-03 10:53 UTC (permalink / raw) To: cluster-devel.redhat.com Steve: Please do /not/ commit this patch. The attached patch converts the dlm_sendd & dlm_recvd daemons to work queues. This removes a lot of duplicated code and allows the receive thread to run on multiple processors on SMP systems (as per bz#218756). It's currently only applicable to the TCP lowcomms. I'll do the SCTP one when (if?) we are happy with this one -- patrick -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Simultaneously removing a lot of code and making it more scalable on multi-processor machines.
