Hi,

A couple of days ago I updated my system from Xenomai 2.2.0 and kernel
2.6.17.8 to Xenomai 2.3.0 and kernel 2.6.19.2. Everything worked well
until I tried to open my driver for the parallel port. The function
rt_dev_open() always returns -EBUSY even after loading the module and
trying to open the device for the first time. I had been using the
driver for several weeks without any problems and havn't touched the
code. Any hints?

Hi,
 
I solved the problem. I had to recompile the kernel with "local APCI on
uniprocessor" enabled. 
Now I have an other problem. As soon as I open a parallel port device my
system slows down dramatically, even without really using the opened
driver. Any ideas are welcome.

This sounds more like you're shifting the issue, not really solving it.

How should we help without knowing your driver code? We need some common
ground to discuss any potential generic problem. Do the included
testcases work, e.g. timerbench or irqbench?
