Having patched and built some kernel packages for Debian (for internal use),
I've uploaded them to a server so that others can try them out. Currently a
have set of 2.6.19.5 kernels and supporting Xenomai packages available for
x86_64 and i386 (compiled for 686).
The repository is located at http://zathras.tuxcnc.org/xenomai - Although the
packages are all in Sid, they have been compiled on Etch boxen, so should
work with both Debian's testing/unstable and Ubuntu.
Regards, Paul.

Nice work! Hope that some people give this a try -- and report their
findings here.
Maybe you should create a dedicated page in the wiki to help those who
do not immediately know what to do with the repos, explain what is
contained, and tell beginners how to get it running quickly.

Judging by the web logs, several people have downloaded some of the packages..
Just to keep 'em on their toes, another set of x86_64 builds were added last
night ;)

Most people interested in the packages wouldn't be *nix beginners and would
probably have some knowledge of the apt tools. That said, there are some
gotchas that would be worth documenting along with some commentary on
make-kpkg & patching.
On the todo list is an improvement of package descriptions, embedding
supported kernel/arch data in linux-patches-xenomai. Perhaps adding an m4 &
makefile.am snippet to the dev package.. Maybe copying assorted examples from
the root directory and in ksrc/skins to xenomai-dev.
Regards, Paul.
