[lm-sensors] ICH8 HECI temperature sensors

Hello all,

Some users asked us about the support for HECI integrated temperature sensors. I 
tried to find some relevant documentation, but I could not find anything I could 
send to HECI to obtain the temperatures, fans etc.

Please can someone point us to the correct docs? I think aim would be to develop 
  kernel hwmon driver, which will read the data through HECI interface.

I can tell more info if you need.

My question is: why to develop a kernel driver if one is already there:

Sorry, just found Rudolf's message in openamt-devel archive -he's
surely aware of openamt.org HECI driver. So docs are the question... I
think one should sign NDA to get them from Intel:

Still this might be interesting, someone should contact intel (maybe through 
Keith Packard) and ask if a GPL driver may be written with these docs. The doc 
not being public is not a (big) problem as long as one may release source based 
on the docs as GPL.

Shall I give this a try?

Intel BSD/GPL licensed HECI driver already exists (openamt.org) - one
just needs some docs to properly use it.
