Hi,

I just spoke yesterday with our main Montreal contact, Louis
Desjardins (Mardigrafe, Libre Graphics Meeting organizer).

Our originally planned week of 10-14 September for the next
Printing Summit and joint meeting with IEEE-ISTO PWG would
be too early in the semester at Ecole Polytechnique. The best
alternative week (to preserve our joint meeting with the PWG)
would be 24-28 September.

Louis plans to call me or email me tomorrow (Thursday) with
a reply from our host, Benoit Ozell, hopefully confirming this
new schedule.

Then, I'll work with the IEEE-ISTO PWG Steering Committee
and Secretary (Jerry Thrasher, Lexmark) to get the ISTO to
set up an online Registration page.

I'll also work with Louis to find recommended hotels near the
Ecole Polytechnique (there are two subway stations on the
university campus). Louis tells me that $100 Canadian is a
probable price range for a conference rate (much better than
equivalent US hotels). And of course all that lovely food...

Cheers,
- Ira

Seems for me that Sep 24-28 is much more probable as the date as 10-14.
I have updated

http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/SummitMontreal

appropriately. I have also updated the "next meeting" on

http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/Development
