My bet it uses thmc50 driver which is just being ported to 2.6.
You can download my latest patch and try.

It does not work with lmsensors 2.x, you need to download the
latest lmsensors 3 branch.

It is I2C sensor. The I2C sensors were not scanned by your
detection script for unknown reason.

Krzysztof

Hi Krzysztof,

I must be doing something wrong. I've retrieved the latest lm-sensors code
from SVN using

    svn checkout http://lm-sensors.org/svn/lm-sensors/trunk lm-sensors

Then compiled and installed with "make user && make user_install". But I
don't get results:

    # sensors -c /etc/sensors.conf "thmc-*"
    Specified sensor(s) not found!

Also, can I visually identify this chipset somehow on the motherboard?
I've tried to look for an IC marked "TI", but couldn't find it.

Output of lsmod is here:
    http://www.vankuik.nl/download/lsmod_output

Output of "uname -r" is:

    2.6.18-8.1.6.el5xen

Any ideas?

Bart

There is no thmc50 module in the 2.6.18 kernel. You need to download the patch from the
list and compile the kernel by yourself. If you need help, please email me directly.

I have a Compaq motherboard from the same era (dual Pentium3) and it uses ADM1022 chip
(which is also handled by thmc50 driver). A manufacturer marking is a small Analog
Devices logo (white square with black triangle) in the middle of the chip. The top line
says "1022" or "1022A" (it depends on chip revision). The chips are quite small about
6x4 mm and at least one should be located next to CPU slots (the one which controls CPU
temperature).

It would be great if you can confirm that the DL360 uses this chip type (or maybe not
use).

Regards,
Krzysztof

Yeah, it's there and I made a photo of it. It's right in the middle of the
picture:

  http://www.vankuik.nl/download/1022a_on_compaq_dl360_motherboard

I found only one and I looked pretty thoroughly. Anyway, it's not even
_close_ to the CPU sockets (two sockets, one taken), a bit funny that.

I'm going to try and compile the patch.

Just a wild guess, but doesn't
"svn checkout http://lm-sensors.org/svn/lm-sensors/trunk lm-sensors"
checks out the 2.x branch?

As far as I know, you need "svn checkout
http://lm-sensors.org/svn/lm-sensors/branches/lm-sensors-3.0.0" for the
3.0.0 branch.
Not sure if it makes a difference, but might be worth a shot :)
