Mattias, the answer to your problem is in understanding debian better- 
rtfm.  Because I'm not so good at reading manuals either, I'll give you 
the hint that on debian systems all package documentation is kept in 
/usr/share/doc/<package-name>

if you compile mlmmj self, you properly olso know where the docs are placed

i have no debian at hand here, so depending on how the maintainer of mlmmj
created the deb package none can say its there

we just all have one thing in common, that is the source Martin created

My offer of both maintaining and providing a website based on Drupal CMS
still stands. My demo at http://mlmmj.bergenheim.net/ is still functional,
git might be a bit out of date (feel free to update it). I invite you all to
go and test it. It is a bit old version of Drupal, but I can easily upgrade
it, and the theme is easily changeable. Drupal comes with great benefits
like the book module which I used to create a manual, and with comments the
users can give advice on how they have configured thing, and even share
configuration setups. Drupal is great for community building.
