Hi,
I wrote an Alsa device driver that supposedly works with the OSS emulation, but
one of our customers is reporting that mplayer with the "-ao oss" option plays
video twice at double speed. If they select "-ao alsa" instead, then it plays
normally.
Is this a known problem?

I don't know of such a problem. Which kernel/ALSA version?
ALSA 1.0.15 has some new OSS emulation code, so this might be
different (although I don't guess the problem is in a different
place).
