Hello,
I am trying to use lm-sensors (version 2.10.5) with libsensors version 2.10.5.
The kernel is patched (with the add-coretemp-driver.patch and
coretemp-add-documentation.patch) from the following locations:
http://www.hobbes.ch/statisch/linuxfiles/patches/add-coretemp-driver.patch
http://www.hobbes.ch/statisch/linuxfiles/patches/coretemp-add-documentation.patch
Attached is the /proc/cpuinfo.
When trying to load the modules, I get the following errors:
[root@localhost ~]# dmesg | grep coretemp
[ 76.687618] coretemp: Unknown CPU, please report to the
lm-sensors@lm-sensors.org
[ 76.687802] coretemp: Unknown CPU, please report to the
lm-sensors@lm-sensors.org

[ 76.688071] coretemp: Unknown CPU, please report to the

[ 76.688156] coretemp: Unknown CPU, please report to the

lm-sensors@lm-sensors.org
[ 76.688326] coretemp: Unknown CPU, please report to the
lm-sensors@lm-sensors.org
[root@localhost ~]#
I am able to run this successful on a dual-core CPU (Intel Xeon 5130).
Can anybody suggest how to get this to work on the E5420 CPU?
thank you,
Rutul

I'm trying to get answer from Intel how to detect the mobile/non mobile CPUs properly. They are silent. I think what we have now works, so I will prepare a patch perhaps.
