ubuntu 7.04 and uronode

ubuntu 7.04 and uronode

 Hi
have an ? for for the list maybe you can give me some ideas on what is
causing this
i have ubuntu 7.04 running here i have fbb and the uronode 1.04 running on
it the fbb when it makes an ax25 connect works just fine but when i make
an connect to uronode 1.04 it makes the connect and then it drops the
connect it gets an DM any if why this might be happening do you know of
anything special that needs to be done thanks for any info and help

I don't know much about uronode except what Iread this morning.

I'd be looking at the things required to set up Linuxnode - node.conf, 
node.perms, ax25d.conf. You could also take a look here 
http://nwp.ampr2.net/jnos/UroNode

Thanks Ray for the reply i have ran uronode for an few years now
just not on ubuntu 7.04 so something is different and trying to find what
it is

Bob,

Does this (from that URL I sent, have any relevance ....

   1.

      make

            lots of warnings that need to be fixed... 
   2.

      sudo make -k install

(sudo runs install as root...   -k option tells it to keep running after errors.  A
manual directory has changed and breaks the install...)

and this ....

*** problems when installing without the -k option...

ERROR: /var/ax25/mheard/mheard.dat: No such file or directory
ERROR: /var/ax25/mheard/mheard.dat: No such file or directory
/var/lib/ax25/mheard/mheard.dat

ln -s /var/lib/ax25/mheard/ /var/ax25/mheard

ERROR: /var/ax25/node/loggedin: No such file or directory

vodall@ac7yy:~/src/uronode-0.5-R2> touch /var/ax25/node/lastlog
vodall@ac7yy:~/src/uronode-0.5-R2> chmod 777 /var/ax25/node/lastlog

Just a few thoughts.

No Ray it doesnt it is running but just connects get dropped after
connecting
