Hello!

I have somehow got a duplicate VG on my system. I was wondering if
there is a way to remove it without having to shutdown the server.
They have uniqe uuid's so I was hoping I could just do a vgremove
<uuid>. So far I have been unable to find a way to do it without
shutting down.

Thanks for any help,

Jon

As long as you're not using an old version of lvm2, use vgrename
with the uuid before a normal vgremove.

What if you are using an old version of lvm2? Are there other options?

Thanks,
