Not sure if my first email made it thru....I am getting a crash in 
ebtables after instantiating about 140 rules:

This appears to be an ancient kernel. Could you retry with 2.6.26
please?

Good question, but I am sorry to say I don't  know....I noticed in the 
latest version it was fixed...the fix was very simple so I just did it by 
hand, without applying a patch.
