Hello,

this thread is to discuss our new OpenEmbedded logo and branding.
Thanks to Mateo for the design.

Proposal:

Introduce the new logo at FOSDEM, ok?

Create pin name tags for everybody to wear, especially those manning the booth.

Create a *simple* A0 (metric rectangular format, area 1 square meter)
poster with the
logo and a few key words. White paper, then...:

-----------------------------

OpenEmbedded Logo (colour)

"build" (in dark) and underneath at an offset in light colour:
"everything from source"

embed (in dark) and underneath at an offset in lighter colour: "complete images"

deploy (in dark) and underneath at an offset in lighter colour: "your product"

just bake and be done!

-----------------------------

Will try to work on this tomorrow, to allow for visuals and subsequent feedback,
--
Leon

Hello,

see attachment for a new poster proposal.

I am not a text writer, but we need a concise way of getting people
curious. Not scaring them away with too much tech babble.

They will get scared away later by the steep learning curve anyway :-)

Regards,

Good work. It has a total different character than the one I did for last
year's FOSDEM, but that's a good thing :)

I like it.

Intellectually, I like it, but I have a soft spot for Xora's rocket
poster :)

Yes, remember the point is to introduce the new logo.

I can accept rockets in vector format, and other good ideas.

I'm just proposing things here.
They cost EUR 30 at the local copy shop (AFAICS) and I have to take
time off from work to print them.

Or, maybe I can use the large DesignJet at work, and have our company
logo on it.

Also, the Bug Labs logo will appear on it as a sponsorship thank you
for the new logo design.

Regards,

Leon.
