Hi,

My system uses a compact flash as mass memory.
I try to use a compact flash from "silicon drive II, SSD-C04G-4000, 4GB" and
the kernel patched with xenomai 2.4.6 doesn't want to start. I stay block in
"kernel booting" ...
As anyone have already encounter this kind of problem and find the reason ?
The thing is with the same software, I succeed to launch the kernel but with
a another CF "transcend, 4GB"

thanks,
Marcel.

Xenomai 2.4.6 is a version which you should not use. And it is not the
latest version either. So, do you have the same issue with Xenomai 2.4.7 ?

Are you sure the EXACT SAME kernel configuration with only Xenomai and
Adeos I-pipe disabled does not have the same issue ?

Hi,

I'm able to run the kernel without Xenomai and Adeos I-pipe.
I will try to use Xenomai 2.4.7 and keep inform but it's a strange that we
have a different behaviour only changing the Compact Flash.

thanks,
Marcel.

The question: is it exactly the same kernel configuration with only
Xenomai and I-pipe disabled ?

hi,

I come back with my memory issue. So I try with the kernel version patch
with the last version of Xenomai 4.7 and the result is same the kernel is
stuck at the loading time.

I try with another memory from the same manufactor but another serie
SSD-C04GI-3500. It works normally; the kernel patched with Xenomai 4.7 is
loaded and run.

I'm using the kernel 2.6.26.7.
Any idea of what's going wrong with this memory SiliconDrive II
SSD-C04G-4000 from Silicon Systems?

thanks,
Marcel.
