Hi people,

A simple question, does anyone can tell me information about reiserfs4, if
is it going to be included in the main kernel, and if yes, which version?
I ask this 'cause, thinking on what happened to the reiser creator, I'm
thinking if my next servers will have reiserfs 3x or ext4.

Thanks,
Jorge,

Hello.

Use the latest -mm kernel, or patch against vanilla kernel:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/edward/reiser4/reiser4-for-2.6/
Report, if any problems.

There are some technical/organization issues
to be resolved before inclusion. Not now.
May be in Aug/Sept.

Thanks,
Edward.

Hi Eduard,
Thanks for the reply.
I'll wait then and keep using reiserfs 3x till then :)
One last question, since Hans Reiser has it's problem, there's a team that
is continuing his work on reiser, correct?

Jorge,

Who not just keep using r3. It's rock solid in my experience.

Hans was convicted, not his code!
