Hello,

I just installed a new AM3 motherboard (MSI 790FX-GD70).

sensors-detect .....

Trying family `VIA/Winbond/Fintek'... Yes
Found unknown chip with ID 0x0723

The SuperIO chip is a Fintek F71889F. No mention of it on the wiki device
list. Any plans to support it, or perhaps it will work with an existing driver
if 'forced'?

Regards

Clive

Thank you. Next question is .....

Has anyone requested a data sheet from Fintek? Or is it a waste of time to
request a data sheet until they publish it? I've CC'd Hans.

Regards

I've mailed them about this, but so far no response.

How do you know you've for a Fintek F71889FG ? Is it labelled as such ?

Regards,

Hans

Thanks,
