I don't understand the mdmon stuff, but this request doesn't seem to be 
exactly what we do?  Just a heads up.

I agree. I have no idea what isw/imsm is, but with dracut (and a recent 
mdadm) I think this should work. Let's hope the reporter see's your 
comment and gives dracut a go.

isw is Intel Software RAID
imsm is Intel® Matrix Storage Manager (http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/index.htm)

My proposal was only temporary fix to make possible testing installation process on MD arrays.
