Does it make use of the kvm exit handler?  Where the detailed code
involved about the kvm's control?

kvm isn't very involved, except in delivering mmio or pio exits that 
cause the packets to be transferred.  The exit codes are KVM_EXIT_MMIO 
and KVM_EXIT_PIO.
