My point is, vmalloc() and vfree should do this, not their callers:
vmalloc(size):
if (size <= PAGE_SIZE)
return kmalloc(size, GFP_KERNEL);
...
vfree(p):
if (!is_vmalloc_addr(p) {
kfree(p);
return;
}
...
