I also have a device with an ar9271, mine is a Ubiquiti WiFiStation EXT.
It just needs a new ID added in the driver. I got it working with the
help of the following post: http://www.ubnt.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22105
The only extra thing I would like is the ability to turn up the txpower
beyond 20dBm.
To the developers on the list, how do we go about getting the extra ID
added into the code? It's only a one line change but I don't know what
the procedure is for having this included. Also, how long does it take
for changes to be fed into the kernel?

Hello sorry for me i am great noob.....
After make for compat-wireles i have problem with my "kernel
headers" in a ### lib/module/2.6.3X/build i have any folder name
build...
Please help me.
i have debian 2.6.26, 2.6.35, bt4, bt4 R1, putty,
My problem is very "kernel headers" in a build directory...
#######"Compilation problems
If you encounter compilation problems, please make sure you've got
kernel headers installed and that the system knows where to look for
them. Generally, there should be a symlink under
/lib/modules/`uname -r`/build""" ######
I don understand this....
Thank all for reply
