Hello, my name is Giuseppe.

The hours I approach the world of wireless, and I wanted to ask:
where can I find the datasheet of wireless cards, Particularly "Network
controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter
(PCI-Express)?
Mac802.11 The protocol is implemented in hardware or software?
ath9k driver supports Master mode?
I always get this error:
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06):
    September failed on device wlan0; Invalid argument.

Giuseppe, please do research on the things mentioned by Pat. They are
important when using mailing lists.

mac80211 is the name of a software layer within Linux. It does not
exist anywhere else, and it contains useful things that are common
for wifi drivers. It is not relevant.

There are no public datasheets for ath9k hardware or really any other
wifi hardware.

Use hostapd for master mode. Read ALL documentation you can find. If
you do not find enough documentation then please continue searching.

You should expect to spend several weeks of uninterrupted time on
learning about all things that you need to know to be able to
configure and operate hostapd correctly, if you have no previous
knowledge of wireless networking.
