IMHO many of those machines are still a useful starting point for a lot
of people.
Moreover lots of PXA2x0 based board are unfortunately still using them.
I vote to keep them a bit longer.

Marco, see my list in my previous post.
I would propose to move to obsolete, so they are still there if needed;
And I guess it makes sense to at least rm the pre 2.6.20 recipes that
have newer versions (like e.g. linux-jlime-jornada6xx_2.6.11.bb)

Splitting machines out into seperate git trees, with Chris' awesome work
on collections this is no longer hard to maintain. But will mean the
main OE repo is free of unmaintained machines. Maintained ones will be
obvious by the activity on their git (which doesnt even neccessarilly
need to be hosted by OE)

Not sure that this is a good idea really. As an example, the best kernel
for the hp6xx is the 2.6.17 (yes its old I know, but everything works).
For the hp7xx its currently 2.6.19 (although its changing shortly to 2.6.34).
So how about putting the limit somewhat lower :) ? Like 2.6.15?

Thats why I wrote "if you care about something raise your hand". As you are
maintainer of hp[67]xx machines and you know that 2.6.17/19 are best for them
then they stay.

I wouldn't mention the .stable branch in anything related to removals.
Receipes from that era are so different that mixing things from both
branches is impossible.
So "... testing_2010-09-27 has them" ;-)
