Hi,
Using the standard tools I've installed the xenomai patches for Ubuntu
10.10. However, I can't find that I'm actually running a kernel with xenomai
right now. How can I check whether or not I am? I ask the Ubuntu forum, but
get no response.
Thank you for an answer.

Xenomai is a Linux kernel extension. As such, it requires re-building a
Linux kernel. So, it appears that you do not really understand what
Xenomai is. Before running head-on into installing Xenomai and compiling
applications without really understand what Xenomai is, I suggest you
read a few things, here:
http://www.xenomai.org/index.php/Publications
Most notably, the "life with adeos" and "native API Tour" documents.
Please beware: if later posts on this list show that you have not done
your homework, you will be properly flamed.
The installation guide using Debian packages may be found here:

Thank you for your answer. I am (and was) aware what Xenomai is. Thank you
for the link about the Debian packages. It solved the problem and it is
running fine now.

Ok. So, forgetting that it needs the linux kernel to be recompiled was
just a temporary failure. Sorry for the noise then, we seem to be
experiencing a lot of clueless lazy newbies these days, and I am being a
bit tired of it.
