SPC-1 profile

Hello,

I read [1] with great interest. However, I can't find anything  
indicating such functionality in the latest versions of fio. Just  
wondering if there is any expectations that this will be included in  
the foreseeable future?

There's an spc-1 test branch in the fio git repo, but not sure what the
state of that branch is. The guys originally doing it seems to have gone
away, at least it never got completed.

If they are listening here, perhaps they will chime in.

Still alive, I haven't got around to merge to the latest fio version.
But the main functions are still the same, -- mainly on write/read and rand read/write.
Do you need the test config file? it works but really lacking the integration with fio's option.

That was fast :-)

I would really appreciate an update. If it works, lets fold it into the
mainline branch. Then we can work on integrating well with the fio
options afterwards.

Note I'll be gone in a few hours and all of next week (skiing), so you
have plenty of time!

The config file and some usage instructions would be great. Thanks.

Great work BTW. Looking forward to getting in as a benchmark profile.  
Am I right i assuming that you based the implementaion on [1]?

I tried to purchase your paper from [2], but I was a bit put off by  
the lack of ssl-encryption in the payment solution.
