I trying to provide the usb device 2022:0008 (Amikon vpn key) or 19d2:2000 (ZTE MF112 hsdpa modem) into virtual machine with windows xp iax32. kvm virtual machine was hung completely, and stop responding to anything. If yes -> causes issues (Windows Bluescreen e.g.) with printers and sometimes other USB 2.0 devices. If you set it to USB 1.1, it should be fine but the transfer rate is extremely low. I would propose the ehci-patch from David, this works quite nice and gives a good transfer performance and no bluescreens with printers and so on.
