Hi,
I'm interested in working as a student for git in the GSOC program this
year.

I'm running a lot of web projects with heavy use of git submodules (each
project has around 40 submodules) and therefore I'm very interested in
enchant the git submodule experience.

I'm asking for your oppinions and idées for my planned todolist for this
summer (if I get accepted of course).

== Preventing false "pointers" ==
It's far too easy to push a gitrepo pointing to a submodule version that
is not existing on the server. Prevent this by checking for available
submodule versions before acceptingt the push.

== Threat every module alike ==
When failing fetching a submodule, continue fetching the next one
instead of dying. There's no need to prevent fetching a submodule
beginning at 'z' just because a failing in fetching a submodule
beginning at 'a'. The submodules should not be alphabetically dependant
as they are now.

== Make submodule changes globally visible ==
Give git-log submodule support. A git log of showing a new version of a
module should (if choosen by --submodules or alike) also list the
changes to that submodule since the last version of the submodule was
commited.

== Move submodules into core ==
This last bit is excellent described in the link below.

So, what do you all think? Is it too much? Too little? Is the quests
relevant to git?

To,
The linux foundation
I would like to participate in GOOGLE SUMMER OF CODE 2014 with your
prestigious organization. I want to propose an idea regarding scanned
files. My idea is to make a open source software that could scan a file
directly into word document. This would be highly beneficial for direct
editing.we dont need extra pdf to doc converter. For, making this i propose
to use c++ language and incorporate the ocr technology to read the
character individually and move them into the document.I would be really
grateful if your organization take interest in my idea and suggest me more
regarding my idea (if any). Looking forward to receive a quick and positive
response from your side.
Thanking you.

To,
Kernelnewbies
I would like to participate in GOOGLE SUMMER OF CODE 2014 with your
prestigious organization. I want to propose an idea regarding music files.
My idea is to make a song to lyrics converter using voice separation and
then speech recognition idea so that any ongoing music can be converted to
their wordings instantaneously without accessing internet for the lyrics.
This project will be really helpful in our country because most of the
people over here don't have access to internet and lyrics of all the songs
aren't available. I would like to make the software using c/c++ coding. I
would be really grateful if your organization take interest in my idea and
suggest me more regarding my idea (if any). Looking forward to receive a
quick and positive response from your side.
Thanking you.

As I was strongly encouraged to submit my GSoC proposal, I'll post it
here and CC to my possible mentor.
Please, provide with your feedback about my draft. You can also comment
it right in the Google doc. Thanks in advance
