Hello all,
Does anyone know if "iwconfig txpower off" works with ath9k? In the
sense that does the current drawn by the device visibly drop and the
radio turns itself off? I have seen this happen on b43 based broadcom
devices (linksys wrt54g) where the current drops by 10s of mA, but I am
trying to get this to work on a netgear wndr3700v1 which uses ath9k.
I did try looking through wireless-tools source and the ath9k driver
source, but am helpless.

It's a router based on the AR7161 processor, with AR9280an and AR980bgn.
OS is openwrt backfire 10.3, with 2.6.32-10 and compat-wireless snapshot
from 03-24-2010
