You mean meta-texasinstruments, right? Or do you yocto people really want to take over beagleboard?

I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying poky is not based on oe-core?

Correct.  Poky came first and has its own tree.  OE-core is derived
from the Poky/Yocto tree.

For now, my understanding is that Poky gets its own patches which
are filtered into oe-core and meta-yocto

Firstly, I thought Richard addressed this the other day.

Secondly, I'm more than happy to contribute this and fixes like it to meta-
texasinstruments, however right now I'm not even able to determine where the 
current repository for that layer actually is, so it's a bit hard for me to do 
so. Perhaps you could tell me where it is?

Paul is addressing an existing issue in the existing repository, not
something in response to our discussions on supporting the BBxM going
forward.
