This:
+ $(CC) $(LDFLAGS) -fPIC $(SHAREDLIB_LINK_OPTIONS)$(LIBFDT_SONAME) -o $(LIBFDT_lib) $^
should be $(LIBFDT_soname).
ACK with that change.
