Hi,

does anyone know what happened to lvs-users mailing list?

It used to be hosted on
http://lists.graemef.net/mailman/listinfo/lvs-users (as pointed on
http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org/mailing.html).

It still is, it's still live and is active.

Can you not access it? Does the name resolve?

Graeme.

Ah, indeed it's alive.

I'm not able to resolve names from it from a largish German hosting
provider, Hetzner.

The (IPv4) nameservers for graemef.net are:

ex.graemef.net has address 89.238.178.25
boom.graemef.net has address 82.113.154.29

# dig graemef.net @89.238.178.25

; <<>> DiG 9.7.3 <<>> graemef.net @89.238.178.25
;; global options: +cmd
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

# dig graemef.net @82.113.154.29

; <<>> DiG 9.7.3 <<>> graemef.net @82.113.154.29
;; global options: +cmd
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

On the other hand, ping works fine, so (some) connectivity works...

Can you please tell me which IP netblock these queries are originating
from? I smell a previously unallocated (to an RIR) block which is in my
bogons list.

Thanks!

Graeme

I.e. 178.63.195.*, 178.63.11.*, 46.4.130.*, 46.4.96.124, 46.4.115.*,
176.9.54.*.

Yep, that was it - I had a terribly outdated bogons filter in my
named.conf which had been pulled in via my poor revision control system
(that is, I copied an old version in from a rather old named.conf when
rebuilding servers a few months ago).

Sorry - and thanks for the heads up!

Graeme
