Subject: [ath9k-devel] Frequent TKIP MIC failure
Date: Thu, 10 Nov 2011 00:11:34 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <4EBB08A6.8020208@gmx.net> (raw)

Hello,

sorry for jumping up on this very old thread, but I see a very similar
thing on my new SONY VAIO laptop. dmesg outputs

[ 200.502509] wlan0: deauthenticated from 00:1c:28:0d:59:2a (Reason: 14)
[ 200.513840] wlan0: deauthenticating from 00:1c:28:0d:59:2a by local
choice (reason=14)

The problem seems to be correlated with high bandwidth traffic (>1MB/s).
Chipset is

02:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9485
Wireless Network Adapter [168c:0032] (rev 01)

Disabling hwcrpyt as suggested in
http://www.mail-archive.com/ath9k-devel at lists.ath9k.org/msg04221.html
seems to fix the problem.

I thought that this would be interesting to you. Thank you very much.

Christoph
