Hi,
I am sorry that I cannot narrow my issue much deeper, I am hoping that
anyone can give me hints where I can look.
I have attached lspci and cat /proc/interrupts from my hardware (both
with 3.0.9), in addition the bootlog from 3.0.9 and 3.1.1 with the
kernel configuration of each.
My problem: since 3.1.0 I cannot use the vnc connction from my laptop to
the router. At the beginning of the connection (about 5 to 10 seconds)
it works well, then the connection starts to lag until i close and open
again vncviewer.
It seems for me that the sending utilisation causes the problem, as soon
as I start typing in a xterm the lag starts.
Hostapd on serverside does not terminate or reauthenticate, also the
connection in my laptop is stable. I can do downloads without problems,
but sendn data (already doing google searches) cause timeoutes until i
stop and send the data agin.
With 3.0.9 this problem does not occur, only since 3.1.0.
I cannot see any problems in interrupts or network errors.
I am using debian squeeze with hostapd and an atehros ath9k minipci
wireless card. Altough the card supports 802.11n my laptop only supports
g, so I've never tried 5GHz bands of my wifi-card, but I have configured
in hostapd to use 802.11n.
If I connect with wired network this problem does not occur at 3.1.0 /
3.1.1.
Again sorry for the poor analysis, but I don't now where I can start
searching as I can see no errors / differences between 3.0.9 / 3.1.1.
Thanks for any hints.
Alois
